Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) announced he will host his annual Service Academy Day at Wake Forest University on September 24, 2016 from 10:00am-1:00pm for North Carolina students interested in learning more about the admission process to the United States Services Academies.

The Service Academy Day gives high school students, family members, counselors, and educators the opportunity to meet representatives, midshipmen and cadets from each Military Academy and the Wake Forest ROTC program, and speak with staff members from Senator Tillis’ office about the nomination process. Students who are interested in applying to a Service Academy but are unable to attend may still call Senator Tillis’ Charlotte office to receive information.

“One of the honors I have representing North Carolina in the United States Senate is nominating outstanding high school students who are ready to serve their country by attending one of the five U.S. Service Academies,” said Senator Tillis. “Service Academy Day is a great opportunity for young North Carolinians to talk with members of my staff and representatives from each Service Academy about the possibility of attending one of these prestigious institutions. I hope families across North Carolina are able to take advantage of this event.”
