Tillis Calls for Disaster Loan Improvements for North Carolina Small Businesses
U.S. Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) sent a letter to U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Administrator Jovita Carranza urging her to make several improvements to the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. Specifically, Senator Tillis and his colleagues requested that the administrator expedite the $10,000 advances to be received within three days, remove the per-employee cap on advance grants, and restore the maximum loan amount to $2 million.

Tillis Calls on Trump Administration to Fix Relief Payment Limits for Farmers, Ranchers
The COVID-19 crisis has caused significant damage to agriculture operations across the country. The CARES Act provided $23.5 billion to support farmers and ranchers, including $9.5 billion for livestock, dairy and specialty crop producers. However, CFAP payment limits will significantly reduce the program’s effectiveness for many family-owned farms and ranches facing unprecedented losses due to the crisis.
