In light of the reoccurring attacks on law enforcement and the increasingly violent behavior we see in this country, we must do everything we can to make sure our law enforcement officers receive the necessary emergency medical care in the event of an injury sustained in the line of duty.

Tillis Co-Sponsors Constitutional Amendment to Protect the Supreme Court from Democrats Court-Packing Plan
It is unfortunate that a constitutional amendment is needed to prevent Chuck Schumer from adding new Supreme Court justices who would act as legislators from the bench and turn the Court into a rubber-stamp for left-wing policies that erode the economic and religious freedoms of North Carolinians. That is why I co-sponsored this constitutional amendment, and I call on my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to do the same to protect the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and ensure justices base their rulings on the Constitution and not politics.

Senate VA Committee Unanimously Passes Tillis’ Landmark Toxic Exposure Bill
After working alongside veterans who were stationed at Camp Lejeune and fighting for servicemembers exposed to toxicants from burn pits in Afghanistan and Iraq, it was clear that the men and women who served our country deserve better. Following Request by Tillis, North Carolina To Be Included in Offshore Drilling Moratorium
Over the last several years, I have listened to mayors and elected officials from Brunswick to Currituck County and have been adamant that any decision on new energy production off North Carolina's coast should be made with the input of our local communities. Following the announcement of an offshore drilling moratorium, I urged President Trump to include North Carolina. I want to thank President Trump for including North Carolina in the moratorium and listening to the concerns of North Carolinians on the coast.

U.S. Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Richard Burr (R-NC) and Representatives David Price (D-NC) and G. K. Butterfield (D-NC) announced that they secured a $47 million Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to purchase the S-Line rail corridor from Raleigh, North Carolina to Ridgeway, North Carolina to preserve the corridor for future passenger service.
