Tillis Calls on Trump Administration to Fix Relief Payment Limits for Farmers, Ranchers
The COVID-19 crisis has caused significant damage to agriculture operations across the country. The CARES Act provided $23.5 billion to support farmers and ranchers, including $9.5 billion for livestock, dairy and specialty crop producers. However, CFAP payment limits will significantly reduce the program’s effectiveness for many family-owned farms and ranches facing unprecedented losses due to the crisis.

Tillis, Colleagues Send Bipartisan Letter to HHS Secretary to Advocate for Relief for Senior Adult Communities and Health Care Workers
Sent a bipartisan letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Alex Azar to ensure that as HHS sets guidelines for the Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund (PHSSEF), they not overlook certain health care providers. Specifically, their letter calls for HHS to not overlook the providers within nursing homes, skilled nursing centers, senior living communities, independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities who are devotedly caring for our nation’s seniors, as well as those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Tillis Urges President Trump to Work with Allies on COVID-19 Investigation
Sent a letter to President Trump urging him to work with our allies and partners to pursue an open and transparent investigation into the origins of COVID-19, as well as the WHO’s decision-making related to the crisis. As the international community combats the COVID-19 outbreak and confronts the increasing challenges presented by the Chinese Communist Party, the senators also urged the President to appoint a high-level envoy to lead international coordination efforts both for COVID-19 response and for related investigations.
