Today, Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Richard Burr (R-NC) applauded the Senate’s confirmation of Bobby Higdon to serve as the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina by voice vote. Mr. Higdon was nominated by President Trump at the recommendation of Senators Tillis and Burr.
 
Mr. Higdon has a long and decorated career as a federal prosecutor and is highly respected throughout the state. He also has significant management experience as the former Chief of the Criminal Division in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina. Mr. Higdon earned his law degree from the Wake Forest School of Law. He is currently a partner at Williams Mullen and resides in Cary, North Carolina.
 
“I am proud the Senate confirmed Bobby Higdon to be the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina,” said Senator Thom Tillis. “Mr. Higdon has decades of prosecutorial experience and I have no doubt he will bring strong leadership to the U.S Attorney’s office in Eastern North Carolina.”
 
“I am pleased the Senate confirmed Bobby Higdon to serve as the next U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina,” said Senator Burr. “I know his experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney will serve him well as he takes over the helm for the Eastern District. Bobby will undoubtedly serve the people of North Carolina with honor and distinction.”
