WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Richard Burr and Senator Thom Tillis released the following statement regarding the confirmation of Steven L. Gladden to be the United States Marshal for the Middle District of North Carolina:

“I’m pleased to see the Senate confirm Steven Gladden to be North Carolina’s Middle District U.S. Marshal,” said Senator Burr. “Central North Carolina will be lucky to have someone with Steve’s extensive background in the U.S. Marshals Service at the helm, and I look forward to working with him in the years to come.”

“I applaud the Senate for confirming Steven Gladden to be the U.S. Marshal for the Middle District of North Carolina,” said Senator Tillis. “Steven brings an incredible wealth of experience from his years in the U.S. Marshals Service, and he will serve the people of North Carolina well.”

Background Information

Hailing from Mount Gilead, North Carolina, Mr. Gladden last served in the U.S. Department of Treasury as the Intermittent Economic Crimes Advisor in the Office of Technical Assistance. Previously, he served in the U.S. Marshals Service for 26 years, part of which as the Assistant Chief Inspector of the Asset Forfeiture Division. Mr. Gladden graduated from the Carolina School of Broadcasting.
