WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) joined Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, where he discussed the threat posed by ISIS and the Obama administration’s negotiations with Iran.

On the Obama administration’s negotiations with Iran, Tillis said: “I don’t think that they’re negotiating in a position of strength. Whether it’s making sure that the duration of agreement there is no sunset, whether or not we have proper inspections provisions in place, it seems like at every point where the fundamentals of the deal should be in place, the administration is missing it.”

On Iran’s increasing involvement in Iraq, Tillis said: “If we want a long-term strategy in Iraq, it can’t just be a strategy that’s founded on some progress that the Iranians can make by aiding, assisting, and advising Shia militia. Because the consequences of that could be potentially pushing the Sunnis closer to ISIS and causing more problems than it solves by taking back ground. It’s just another example of where the strategies in the Middle East by this administration are failing, and I think the American people and the Congress are becoming increasingly concerned.”
