“Independence Day is a time to think about the many freedoms we enjoy and how we got here. I want to thank all the men and women currently in the Armed Forces who are willing to defend our freedoms, as well as the many veterans across our state who were willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice to make sure we can continue to live free in the greatest nation that ever existed.”
